The UK’s largest supplier of Fairtrade coffee to businesses and the hospitality industry has launched a Sands branded coffee, as part of its new charity range of coffees.
Underdog Coffee Co has produced a new range of coffees to help raise funds for Sands and five other charities.
The Sands coffee packaging is branded with our teardrop logo and the message underneath reads: ‘Coffee to save babies’ lives.’
Underdog Coffee Co will donate 15 per cent of all proceeds to from sales of the Brazilian coffee in order to help Sands reduce the number of a babies that die before, during and shortly after birth and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby.
For example, when an office or a cafe orders a case of coffee (6kg, the most common size to purchase) for £89, Sands will receive a donation of £13.35.
Grace Carter-Cavalier, Underdog Coffee’s Co-Founder and CMO said: “The idea is to help businesses really lead by example. If you’re already ordering coffee from somewhere, switching to a roast that’s going to benefit a charity of your choice should be a no-brainer.
“Over a year, the amount donated could easily add up to £160 or more, based on ordering a case a month, just from switching supplier.”
The new charity coffee range is aimed at helping companies and the hospitality industry to be more considered and ethical in the buying choices they make.
Susy Gould-Obiora, Senior Corporate and Trusts Fundraiser at Sands, said: “Our vision at Sands is for a world where fewer babies die and anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the best care and support for as long as they need.
“We are delighted to be chosen as one of the charities to benefit from the sale of the Underdog Coffee Co charity range. Partnerships like this ensure that Sands can raise vital funds and continue to carry out its important work.”
