Bereaved father Mike Pollard from Sands United FC Kent was interviewed on the former Arsenal footballer Benik Afobe, whose two-year-old daughter Amora died unexpectedly in hospital. 

Mike spoke to presenters Natalie Sawyer and Jim White (Sky Sports News) about the help and support there is out there from charities like Sands if Benik needs support.  He also explained how as a bereaved father he can relate to Benik’s loss.

During the interview, Jim said: ”I didn’t realise the reach that Sands United has” after receiving messages of support on air during Mike’s interview from Sands United FC Northants and Kent.

Sands United FC Kent will playing a cup match on Sunday and they will hold a minute’s silence for Benik’s daughter Amora.
