Sands is delighted to announce a new partnership with Berkshire Community Foundation, supported by local business RB who are headquartered in Slough.
Gerry Lejeune OBE, Chief Executive Berkshire Community Foundation said;
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Sands to support parents at a time when they need help through the most difficult of times, providing bereavement counselling and much more. Here at Berkshire Community Foundation working in partnership is important to us to ensure that vital support is given by the charities, whose expertise and knowledge are essential to those who need it most.”
An incredibly generous grant of £35,625 will be used to support all of our work in the county including; supporting our local volunteers, bereavement support and memory boxes for anyone impacted by the death of a baby and bereavement care training for healthcare professionals. The funding has been generously donated by RB.
“We are proud to be able to support the local community where we live and work and particularly this year and in the midst of a pandemic. Through our partnership with Berkshire Community Foundation we are proud to support Sands who is providing such vital support to families who have been sadly affected by the loss of a baby”.
Sandra Hennessy, Social Impact and Partnerships Manager RB
