Thank you to everyone who got involved in the ITV Good Morning Britain 1 Million Minutes campaign in December to end loneliness and isolation in the UK through the power of volunteering.
We had an amazing response with more than 700 people pledging their time to help Sands in a variety of ways including, offering to Walk and Talk with a bereaved person they know, raising awareness of our Bereavement In The Workplace training, and supporting Sands United FC.
During December, Sands United FC were featured on Good Morning Britain and also played a match against a team of celebrities including Ben Shephard!
If you want to find out who won you can watch this highlights video of the game.
If you are one of those who pledged their time thank you again and we hope your volunteering journey with Sands is going well.
Although the 1 Million Minutes campaign has ended, our mission to save babies' lives and support bereaved families continues and we still need your help to achieve our goals.
There are lots of rewarding ways to spend your time together with Sands. If you'd like to offer your time to make a difference we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch by emailing volunteering@sands.org.uk
All our work relies on the generosity of our supporters who enable us to be there to support bereaved families, and to work with the NHS and other partners to improve care and save babies' lives.
Whether you want to run, walk, cycle, play video games, or play keep-uppy with a football there's a fundraising challenge for you!
And of course we are always here to offer understanding and support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. Find out how to get support for you or someone you know.
