From midday on Tuesday 14 May, until midday on Tuesday 28 May, all Big Give donations will be doubled to help provide a crucial lifeline for anyone affected by the death of a baby.
Baby and pregnancy loss affects over half of UK adults. Yet it can be an isolating and traumatic experience.
From our bereavement helpline to local support groups, from our Sands United teams to providing memory boxes - we know how crucial it is that everyone who needs it has access to our bereavement support.

Sands Helpline is just one form of bereavement support that parents can access through Sands. Helpline advisors support parents through their heartbreaking journey of loss. Callers will often share their despair, anger, shock, and at times suicidal thoughts.
Last year we saw a 44% increase in calls to our bereavement helpline. And we know that number will continue to grow as we reach more people who need our support.

But we still have more families to reach. Join us in helping more families through their heartbreaking journey of loss to a place of hope and remembrance.
Every donation made between the 14-28 May will be doubled, up until our £10,000 target.
That means a gift of £10 become a gift of £20 to Sands – at no extra cost to you!
🧡 A gift of £10 will be doubled for £20, to provide a memory box for parents to make precious memories with their baby.
🧡 A gift of £20 will be doubled for £40, and that could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
🧡 A gift of £75 will be doubled for £150, which could provide one full day of bereavement care training for healthcare professionals and NHS Staff.
🧡 A gift of £100 will be double to £200, and that could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance, and support.
