Time stands still, my heart aches
I’m told the words “there’s no heartbeat”
“I’m so sorry”, in a silent room.
I go through the motions of delivering a baby, there’s no cry, just stillness in a silent room.
I held you tight, although couldn’t speak, tears streaming down my face, in a silent room.
Days become years and life goes on but always in my heart and mind is when I held you tight in a silent room.
