Congratulations to Kent Sands on the recent opening of their new baby memorial garden in the centre of Ashford.
The group raised an astonishing £28,000 to create an accessible and uplifting space where families can sit, reflect and remember their babies. The garden, situated within Ashford’s Memorial Gardens, is packed with bright, uplifting plants and features a stunning central mosaic surrounded by stones bearing the names of over sixty babies.
Chris Twydell of Kent Sands said:
“These days hospitals are very supportive to families who have lost babies but it has not always been like that. In the past many parents were not able to grieve properly, often not being allowed to see or hold their babies. We hope that this new garden will provide both recently and long-ago bereaved families a peaceful and positive space in which they can spend time and remember their baby.”
