We are delighted to be named as the corporate charity partner of Berry Bros. & Rudd Ltd for the next three years. The partnership was set up following the death of a member of staff’s baby.
Lisa Marie Loveless and her husband Stefan’s baby, Max James Goodyear, was stillborn in August 2013. Lisa’s colleagues were so deeply affected by their tragic loss that everyone at Berry Bros. & Rudd wanted to help raise money in baby Max’s memory. They chose Sands as the recipient of their fundraising efforts and consequently Sands has become Berry Bros. and Rudd’s official charity partner for the next 3 years.
A recent fundraising dinner for 60 people held at their Napoleon Cellar in London raised over £100,000 for Sands! An amazing achievement for everyone involved. Among the guests attending the dinner were International rugby stars Johnny Sexton, Juandré A Kruger, Dimitri Szarzewski, Maxime Machenaud and Michael Phillips.
Jacqui Clinton, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Sands commented, “We are so grateful for the amazing fundraising efforts Berry Bros. & Rudd employees have undertaken so far. This new corporate partnership help us at Sands continue our much needed work. We also know it also brings comfort to Lisa and her family to not only know that her colleagues care so deeply but that something positive can come out of their tragic loss of baby Max.”
