Last year a baby boy was tragically found dead in the River Taff in Cardiff. His mother has never been traced and rather than Baby Sion (as he has been named by police officers) having a public health funeral, a public appeal raised funds to cover the memorial costs of his funeral that took place on 28 June 2016. The funds raised also coverage the cost of a headstone that has now been put in place. The kindness and generosity of those that donated to this appeal is incredible. The excess funds that were raised are going to donated to Sands, for which we are very grateful.
