You will be in the beautiful Ashton Court Estate taking in it's beautiful grounds. Starting at Arts Mansion you will start your walk through the centre of the estate and start a gentle climb seeing the incredible views over Bristol city centre. At around 2.5km you will make a small loop back and head back down to the stunning Arts Mansion, passing the deer park either side of you all lit under the starlight of the sky.

What you'll receive once you've signed up
As part of your Starlight Walk Bristol registration, you'll receive:
- 2 paper lanterns to carry on the Starlight Walk
- 2 LED candles for each of your lanterns
- a walking in memory card to wear with pride on your walk
- Starlight Walk medal once you cross the finish line
- Tea, coffee and cake at the post race reception
- Opportunity to add to the Starlight remembrance wall inside Arts Mansion on event day
If you sign up after 1 November 2023 you can collect your lantern pack on the day. We are just so close to the event we wouldn't want your pack to be delayed in the post.
Starlight Walk Bristol route
You will start at the stunning Arts Mansion which is based in the middle of Ashton Court Estate. As you walk through the start line you will be lead up into the park and follow the route into the centre of Ashton Courte Estate. On your return it will start to get dark and you will be walking under the starts whilst taking in the scenery of Bristol city skyline at night.
We will then welcome you back into Arts Mansion for a hot drink and some cake to finish off your Starlight Walk. Not forgetting your Starlight Walk medal too!

Where do I register on the day?
Registration will be based at Arts Mansion, Ashton Court Estate. The nearest car park is Ashton Court, Mansion Car Park. Once there you will see signs guiding you to the registration point for Starlight Walk Bristol.
Where is the start line
Once registered, the start line will be just outside Arts Mansion and will be fully sign posted on the day.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear whatever you're comfortable to walk in. The route is a mixture of pavements and some grass. It is challenging with a slight incline within the route. So please come prepared to take on a bit of challenging walk round Ashton Court Estate. Please wear comfortable trainers or walking shoes. The route is 5km so just be ready to complete your walk at a comfortable pace that you can enjoy talking with those you're walking with.
There will be a fully accessible 4km route on the day too.
We suggest dressing to keep warm and dry.
Will there be a bag drop?
No. We can't facilitate that at our venue. Please bring what you can carry on your walk with you.
Can my friends and family join me?
Anyone who completes the walk must sign up online before hand or you can buy tickets on the day at an increased price if we still have availability.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. They can join you on the walk but can't join you inside Ashton Court Estate unless they are an Assistance Dog.

Do I have to fundraise?
When you sign up your fundraising page will be created automatically. Any money you can raise as part of your Starlight Walk will make a huge difference to us. Did you know £100 could provide memory boxes to 5 parents, helping them to create treasured memories of their baby?
How do I find my fundraising page link?
When you sign up, you will have a fundraising page link created as part of the process. You will be sent this in an email automatically. You can then log in, personalise your page further and share with friends and family to raise funds for Sands in Scotland. Are the lanterns you're providing sustainable?
The lanterns are manufactured from rice or copy paper of different grades (g/m2), reusable, 100% biodegradable and totally compostable. You might choose to keep yours in a memory box or as a keepsake, or to compost it. We discourage the use of floating lanterns for this event.
What time does it start?
Registration opens at 3pm and closes at 3.50pm
The walk will start at 4pm
Anyone arriving after the walk has started, may not be able to be supported by our staff on the route so please do get there before 3.50pm.
When will I receive my lantern pack in the post?
Your lantern packs will be sent out from 16 October onwards. This will leave you plenty of time to decorate your lantern bag if you would like to.
We will have spare lanterns with us on the day should you need them. We will provide you with pens and a space to decorate your lantern and card of dedication if you want to.
Where is the nearest parking
The nearest car park is Mansion House Car Park. Please note charges apply in this car park.
The next closest car park is Church Lodge Car Park, this is a 15 minute walk from the start line.
