Sands 40th anniversary
Networks & Volunteering Team, Sands | 15 October 2018

We have a Just Giving Page for Elowen. We have a large following on instagram, which is part of the wider baby loss community. I’m an author. My book is coming out nationwide with Penguin next spring, dedicated to Elowen. It’s my aim also to write more about stillbirth, grief, and our daughter.

Carolyn Bray, Fundraising and Events Manager, said: “Amy and William set up a Justgiving page to raise £3,950; a target they set to commemorate the 39 weeks and 5 days their daughter was alive, following her stillbirth last year. During their first year since their daughter died, Amy and William have raised an incredible £23,468 in her memory!”

Amy and William have been nominated as part of 40 volunteers for #Sands40. Join them at Sands 40th Anniversary Conference on 17th November 2018 in Glasgow.

Sands is marking its 40th anniversary this year and we would like to say thank you for the incredible support and contribution that our dedicated volunteers make across the UK to support bereaved parents and anyone affected by the death of a baby.

We will be hosting an awards ceremony during the Sands 40th Anniversary Conference to celebrate the wide range of volunteering involvement in Sands and acknowledge 40 volunteers for their dedication and commitment.
