Complete our survey on your experiences of mental health support
This is an opportunity to tell us about your mental health following your experience of pregnancy or baby loss.
We are interested to know if you felt you needed professional support, if you were able to get it and if so, how you found it. We are also interested to know about anything preventing you from getting that support.
We are interested in hearing from people of all backgrounds, including fathers and partners, and from both those who received mental health support and those who did not.
Why are we doing this?
In 2019, the Out of Sight, Out of Mind report published by the Baby Loss Awareness Week Alliance reported wide ranging issues with most specialist psychological support services for bereaved parents in the UK. The report found that:
60% of parents who experienced pregnancy or baby loss told us they would have liked specialist psychological support for their mental health, but were not able to access it through the NHS
Since then, governments across the UK have indicated that they want to improve mental health services. But we need to know how any changes have affected the experiences of bereaved parents.
With this information we can better understand what is happening across the UK and let governments know what needs to improve.
