Our Lights of Love services, and other seasonal events, take place across the country every year with readings, music, and candle lighting.  

Organised by volunteers and supporters, these events create special, peaceful spaces for people to come together as a community, at a difficult time of year to find comfort in each other and remember their babies.  

Anyone can organise a Lights of Love event, whether you’ve been organising one for years, or if this is your first time, we’ve got everything you need to run a successful event.

How we can help

If you are considering organising a Lights of Love event for the first time, please get in touch with the Community and Volunteering Team who can support you and share our ‘how to’ guide with you. Email volunteering@sands.org.uk  

We want to make sure as many people as possible can find a Lights of Love near them and join you for these special events. Please register your event for our interactive map here. Once you’ve registered our team will be in touch to see how we can support you.  

Some things to remember:

  • Your event does not have to be called ‘Lights of Love’ to be advertised on our map of seasonal events. We want as many people as possible to be able to access the community and support available during this time of year, so please register your events whether you choose to call it ‘Lights of Love’ or not.
  • Lights of Love is for all faiths and none. Our resources are designed to be inclusive for all faiths and none. When organising your event please consider how you can support everyone to join in and remember we’re here to help you with these arrangements.
