Never organised a fundraising event or activity before? Here are a few tips to make it run smoothly!
Organising your own event or activity to raise money is hugely rewarding and is often a great way to spend time with friends and family and meet new people.
Here are a few ideas of what you could do:
Bake for Sands
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Mary Berry, there are lots of ways you can turn your baking skills into fundraising skills. Baking is a great way of getting kids involved with fundraising too. We are currently developing a Bake for Sands fundraising pack which we will make available for download very soon.
Run, Jump or Walk for Sands
If you feel like being a bit more energetic, there are lots of physical activities you can do to help raise money for us – you don’t have to be an experienced athlete, there is something for everyone.
Festive fundraising
Why not try a little festive fundraising during holiday season? We have loads of fun ideas from running a Festive Fiver Lotto competition to holding a mince pie and mulled wine party (we even have delicious recipes to get you started). Download mince pie and mulled wine recipes.
Collect stamps for Sands
An easy activity that helps raise funds from something that would normally be thrown away. Why not get your friends, family, colleagues or local school involved too? You can use our Stamps for Sands poster to raise awareness and let people know so they can help too.
Host a ball for Sands
A ball, dinner, reception or concert is a wonderful social way to raise funds and bring friends, family and the wider community together.
