For our Together, we are Sands campaign, we are celebrating the impact of the connections made within and beyond the Sands community.
Thank you to Caroline for sharing her connection to our community – a community unlike any other.
"My daughter, Amy, was stillborn at 40 weeks in March 2004.
"I was given some information about Sands while in hospital and I made contact with a Befriender shortly after coming home.
"That started my relationship with Sands. A few years later, I trained as a Befriender and took over the role of treasurer of Forth Valley.
"Over the years I have supported many parents, both on an individual and group basis. I am a Hospital Liaison Volunteer at our local hospital and I have organised the Stirling Lights of Love service for over 10 years.
"For the last 4 years I have also been the Scottish Steering Group treasurer."
Read more stories of connections and keep checking for new ones throughout June.
Through all these different experiences, the one connection remains, our precious and loved babies.
