What support services are available to partners and employees?

If you, or any of your colleagues are bereaved in the workplace, or supporting those who are and would like confidential bereavement support, we have a dedicated workplace Support Officer who can be contacted on workplace@sands.org.uk.

Do you offer workplace training?

Bereavement in the Workplace Training: Sands’ workplace training and toolkits help employers to build a compassionate and supportive work environment. If you are an employer and want to support your team, or you are interested in Bereavement in the Workplace Training find out more.

Our training is available free of charge to organisations with less than 250 employees, and discounts are available for charities and public sector organisations.

What fundraising materials can be provided?

Both physical and digital resources are available via our Registration Form including collection buckets and tins, banners, badges, leaflets. 

Please note that it usually takes around 5 working days for physical items to be delivered. 

Can we use Sands’ logo and branding?

Our corporate partners are provided with our ‘Proudly Supporting’ logo and charity blurb, which you may use on your website(s) and promotional activity linked to our partnership and your fundraising events, in line with the terms of our partnership agreement. 

How can I pay in the funds raised in my workplace?

We can provide you with our BACS details. Contact us: Corporate.Parternships@sands.org.uk 

You can also donate to Sands via the below form. Please ensure that you include your company name in the relevant field so we know that the gift is a contribution towards your partnership.



 

How can I raise funds online?

We recommend setting up an online fundraising page with JustGiving, it’s a fantastic way to collect all your fundraising in one place.

How do we sign up to an Event as a Team for Sands?

Get your colleagues fundraising by taking part in one of our bespoke, or 3rd party events! From Skydives to marathons we have a packed calendar of events to take part in and together both the Corporate Team and Events Team can support you with your challenge or fundraising.

I’m unsure how much money my workplace would be able to raise in a partnership with Sands, can I still get involved?

Of course! We work with companies of all sizes. Every penny counts and we are here to help! We will ensure you can support Sands in the way that works best for you.

How does Sands acknowledge our support?

No two partnerships are the same, so we thank our wonderful corporate supporters uniquely based on the partnership we build together. 

Can you attend a cheque presentation or event?

Sands staff are all based remotely across the UK, while we would love to meet as many of our supporters as possible, attending a cheque presentation or event in person will be dependent on staff availability and location. 

Can you provide merchandise on a sale and return basis?

In some circumstances we may be able to provide merchandise such as pin badges on a sale and return basis. Please contact our team at Corporate.Partnerships@sands.org.uk explaining your needs and we will be in touch with options. 

In most cases we would have a signed agreement drawn up between the charity and your organisation agreeing the quantity and value.

Sands is a national charity with a local presence. How do you invest our fundraising?

Sands is committed to ensuring every parent, family and healthcare professional has equal and quality access to support no matter their postcode, income or ethnicity. We are so grateful to all our supporters who fundraise so that we can invest into our infrastructure and services, allowing Sands to support bereaved families and save babies lives.

Can you speak at an event?

We welcome every opportunity to work with you to create safe spaces for discussions and to establish your organisation as a compassionate workplace where every colleague can thrive. 

We don’t charge speaker fees, but we ask that you to consider a voluntary donation to support our parent-focused research and to ensure our accredited support services remain available and free of charge for those who need us. Where travel and accommodation are required, we do request that expenses are covered.
