After a fabulous wedding day, an amazing honeymoon and eventually moving in to our first home at the end of a long period of restoration, falling pregnant was the final piece to our puzzle.

In May 2019, our son Joshan passed away in his father’s arms, shortly after he was born. He was removed from the ventilator, after we were told by doctors that he would not make a recovery, following a delayed emergency c-section.

In September 2020, I was pregnant with our daughter Lila when my waters broke prematurely. A few days later, Lila died during labour. Despite almost losing our older daughter Robyn the same way a few years earlier, I was totally unprepared for the overwhelming grief and anger I felt at Lila’s loss. 

In September 2022, we lost our little girl at 18 weeks having gone into spontaneous labour, turning our world upside down. Trying to navigate this trauma, grief and loss was the hardest thing either of us have ever had to do.

On Sunday 12th January 1992, after a quick drug free labour, our first son was born.

My husband and I welcomed our baby boy Aidan to the world on 4 September 2022. He was born very premature at 27 + 4 weeks but was incredibly strong and determined to do everything by himself.

In December 2019, myself and my partner, Ryan, were ecstatic when we found out we were expecting a baby, due 18th August 2020.

Bereaved father Chris has written a beautiful poem called 'Unspoken' from the perspective of Kira Ann, his baby daughter who was sadly born sleeping in August 2023.
